On the eve of her death, the founder of Femen was noted for her monstrous blasphemy
Oksana Shachko, one of the founders of the scandalous Femen movement, about whose suicide became known the day before, shortly before her death was marked by monstrous blasphemy.
Columnist Yegor Kholmogorov writes about this in the newspaper “Culture”.
“Oksana Shachko, who committed suicide, attacked Patriarch Kirill during his trip to Ukraine. Other members of the group tried to desecrate the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra with blood... Oksana Shachko played a special role in everything. The girl grew up in a deeply religious family, wanted to go to a monastery, painted icons,” says the author.
“Oksana Shachko, having moved to Paris, attracted attention with an exhibition of monstrous anti-icons - she “reinterpreted” traditional subjects in a feminist, homosexual spirit. There was some outright blasphemy. The most “innocent” of the works represented two icons of Our Lady of Tenderness, arranged in a mirror image, like on a playing card,” the publication notes.
“It is clear that a person living in an atmosphere of hell is unhealthy and constantly walks on the edge. Shachko found herself in a particularly unpleasant situation - she was, apparently, a sincere, ideological blasphemer, the kind that sometimes comes from spiritually broken religious people who begin to burn what they worshiped. This girl, who once dreamed of painting icons, turned out to be too real where even the possessed ones are in demand only fake ones. And she ended up just like many who once saw God and betrayed Him,” Kholmogorov reflects.
