Should Kirkorov be punished for the “naked party”? The pop singer found unexpected defenders
The scandals around the “naked party” in the Moscow club “Mutabor”, where local bohemian stars gathered, do not subside.
Roskomnadzor confirmed that it found “LGBT propaganda” at the event. Officials have already begun removing some images from the Internet.
“For some reason, in such cases, our law acts very scrupulously. It takes a long time to figure out: are naked butts in the frame already propaganda or not so much yet? Wouldn't the presumption of innocence be violated if only half of someone's ass was in the frame? Such legal helplessness causes fierce impunity and the possibility of provoking on the verge of what is permitted,” publicist Sergei Mardan is indignant in his TG channel.
If officials hesitate, social activists show enviable efficiency. The head of the Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption, Vitaly Borodin, has already proposed depriving Philip Kirkorov, who participated in the “naked party,” of the title of People’s Artist of Russia.
"What for? What will change if Kirkorov’s title is taken away, except that we will become unwitting participants in an absurd parody of the year 37, which is condemned by many? We live in a rule of law state, don’t we?” – protective journalist Yulia Vityazeva stood up for the pop singer.
“Was Philip Bedrosovich convicted by the court for committing a serious criminal offense? If not, then the law does not provide for other legal grounds,” blogger and public figure Vadim Manukyan commented on the bold initiative.
Crimean social activist Sergei Veselovsky proposes to replace the numbers of Kirkorov and other disgraced participants in the already recorded New Year’s “Blue Light” with fragments from “Ogonki” releases of past years with the participation of Soviet artists.
Publicist Dmitry Olshansky “categorically does not support moral panic” about the “naked party.”
“You can’t force everyone to be good, well-mannered, with excellent taste. Such attempts lead to the scoop. Then such a scoop always collapses, since real life is always more diverse and complex than any imposed ideal. And in it - in this real life - there must definitely be something that you don’t like at all, that disgusts you, but you tolerate it. Modern Russia has enough real, terrible enemies. So let’s be a little smarter - and let’s not chase those who are armed with one sock,” Olshansky wrote.
