During the briefing, Nalyvaichenko said that “leaders of cities in the south-eastern regions of Ukraine have been warned of responsibility for involvement in separatism.”
“In collaboration with the GPU, separate operational investigative groups have been created in each region. Today I reported to the Prosecutor General's Office about the issuance of official warnings on behalf of the state, with the sanction of the GPU. Official warnings were issued to 27 city mayors of various levels of administrative subordination in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Nikolaev and Zaporozhye regions,” Nalyvaichenko said, as quoted by the department’s press service.
He said that it was officially proven to these persons by signature and video recording that if they commit a crime, they will be punished.
“Those people who incite the commission of crimes, according to the decisions of the courts, must receive severe punishment. Those who, inciting and terrorizing people, will lead to human casualties should receive life imprisonment,” said the head of the SBU.
As Navigator reported, in the Donbass a number of city leaders announced their support for holding a referendum. Also to Kyiv demands to stop the ATO and hear the people came from the Lugansk and Donetsk regional councils.
