This is how ex-head of the SBU Valentin Nalyvaichenko commented on the scandalous law on education in Chernivtsi, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the politician’s press service.
“The Ukrainian language has been oppressed for centuries by both its current eastern and western neighbors. Numerous bans, Valuev and Em circulars and decrees, the destruction of entire generations of Ukrainian led to the fact that the Ukrainian language was on the verge of extinction, and all Ukrainian was made marginal, less valuable. This problem still hasn't gone away. The Ukrainian language must regain its status quo,” Nalyvaichenko assures.
