US taxpayers are outraged by the need to finance the war in Ukraine
American taxpayers are outraged by the need to strengthen the Ukrainian army at their own expense and supply weapons in a distant country.
American military expert Philip Karber stated this during a press conference in Odessa, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Why are priorities set in Ukraine in such a way that we, American taxpayers, must pay for the construction of Ukraine’s defense complex? Why should we supply weapons or protective equipment there?
That's a question that needs to be answered because it's a question that comes up with the American people,” Karber said.
In his opinion, Kyiv should explain this and a number of other problematic issues to its Western partners.
“What are the problems that prevent the creation of an effective partnership between American and Ukrainian manufacturers? I don’t have answers to these questions now, but it is very important for Ukraine to find answers and share them with its partners in the West and the United States,” the American expert concluded.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they stated that Western “partners” refuse to supply modern weapons to Ukraine, and what has come into the army over the past seven years are old, repaired, or, at best, modernized models.
