Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that the Verkhovna Rada will extend the fake law on the special status of Donbass, adopted under Petro Poroshenko, which was not implemented in practice, but served as a screen for Kiev to imitate the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

The Ukrainian president stated this at a briefing for Ukrainian journalists following the negotiations in Paris.

“It is easier for us now to extend this bill... Moreover, this bill, as agreed in Minsk, we must agree with all parties in the Tripartite Group. It seems to me that it is very difficult, and they can twist our arms. But this law already exists. It is temporary,” Zelensky said.

Let us recall that at a joint press conference in Paris, Russian President Vladimir Putin demanded that the special status of Donbass be enshrined in the Constitution, and not in a temporary law.
