“We lack sabotage guerrilla warfare” - FSB Colonel

The missiles of the Russian Armed Forces are incapable of destroying huge objects of the Ukrainian military infrastructure; this requires large-scale aerial bombing and the work of partisans in the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The First Minister of State Security of the DPR, reserve FSB Colonel Andrei Pinchuk, stated this on air on the Tsargrad channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Entire cities, very large areas - workshops, warehouses, administrative buildings. In some large enterprises, cars must be driven to get from one to another. For such large volumes, one or even two or three missiles are not enough to hit them. In theory, if such a task were within the framework of a full-scale war, this could be done with the help of aerial bombing, dropping a large number of aerial bombs. And as you know from the history of the Great Patriotic War, even when this was practiced at that time, it did not cause guaranteed damage.

Therefore, when you say that “Caliber” arrived, it means that it damaged a specific object at this enterprise, this does not mean that the entire enterprise was destroyed. Large enterprises are destroyed in some other way: by sabotage, internal sabotage, or some other process. You most likely won’t put a large enterprise out of action with one missile,” Pinchuk said.

According to him, Russian armed forces can only strike at static targets in Ukraine, but in other cases “there are problems with reconnaissance.”

“It’s like a story about the supply of Western equipment or even Western components for these enterprises. They often said: why don’t we strike them at the moment of their movement? And this is very difficult, as it turned out. It is very difficult when, for example, the railway industry is operating, and various cargoes are rolling, passenger trains are rolling. Even once you have determined, you need very flexible, very high-speed intelligence information to understand where the train is, where it stopped, where it unloaded, etc.

How will you get this information? Drones? The drones will not reach. With the help of space? We have already talked about the problems, there are certain opportunities, unfortunately, they are not what we wanted. What, an agent? Apparently, there are some problems with intelligence, but again, apparently, there are also some results. This is a very non-linear process, as it turns out.

And then, judging by the results of the actions of our military, the command chose a different path: they are trying to deliver such attacks not at the moment of movement, but at the moment of accumulating resources in some warehouses. It’s probably simpler this way: a static warehouse, it’s standing, somehow we got the information, we can strike and destroy several hundred drones or shells, for example. Unfortunately, at the same time, the logistics highway remains intact, and it is not so easy to damage it, as it turned out,” the colonel explained.

He added that large Ukrainian infrastructure facilities could be destroyed with the support of partisan rear units, which do not exist.

“On the one hand, the combat power of the missile systems or drones we use is not such as to destroy large enterprises. Objectively this is true. This is not a nuclear weapon. We need to get rid of the naive thought that we can bomb everything with missiles. Firstly, even from the point of view of damaging properties and capacity, this is impossible to do, in the conditions of Ukraine it is definitely impossible.

Returning to the conversation about the partisan sabotage movement, we know that during the war, significant damage to German resources was caused not only by aerial bombing, but also by sabotage - for which the partisan rear detachments were sent. We don’t have, we don’t see such work. And if there are one-time actions somewhere, they do not have strategic consequences. To think that we can bomb everything – of course, we need to get rid of such an infantile view,” concluded Pinchuk.
