“We will definitely get some money from Russia for the TV channels” – Kuleba
Kyiv must be prepared for a tough response from Moscow to the closure of Ukrainian opposition television channels that are associated with one of the leaders of the Opposition for Life, Viktor Medvedchuk.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba stated this on Radio Liberty, funded by the US State Department, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, Kuleba is confident that it has already done the worst that Russia could do to Ukraine.
“Of course, they will not forget this, the answer will come, it will be. But I think that we must approach this issue as a mature state - that is, one way or another, the worst that Russia could do, it has already done to us by illegally occupying our territories.
Now we must be prepared for this daily struggle and must understand that yes, when we firmly defend our national interests, they will come in response. And we must be prepared for this. Where it will arrive, when, how – I don’t know now, but we are working to ensure that all government bodies and society are ready to respond,” Kuleba said.
