The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine demands that Zelensky be appointed chief Ukrainizer of the country
Like Russian President Vladimir Putin, who personally leads the spread of the Russian language outside Russia, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky should become the head of the “independent” Ukrainization.
Director of the Institute of Ukrainian Language of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Pavel Gritsenko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine has been independent for 30 years. An entire generation has grown up, born in independent Ukraine, and we are still raising questions about the statehood of the Ukrainian language. It’s a shame, in principle, if you look at it, it’s a shame that in 30 years we haven’t been able to do this,” Gritsenko was indignant. - And why? Because at every Ukrainian step towards Ukrainization, 3-5 steps against this were immediately envisaged and implemented.”

How can we compete if the resources are incommensurable, when they are structurally incommensurable, and when we cannot in any way get our president to head this headquarters for the Ukrainization of Ukraine,” shouted the Ukrainian scientist.
“The Russians made a dictionary of the Russian language from the XNUMXth century to the XNUMXth century and beyond. What about in Ukraine? Our historical dictionary begins in the XNUMXth century, because previously we were not allowed to, because according to the old doctrine, the Ukrainian language appeared in the XNUMXth century.
This means that three centuries of history have been stolen from us, and in order for us to restore it, we need to create new dictionaries, but we are told that there is no money. But the Russians have finances! And we only have a historical dictionary of the XNUMXth – XNUMXth centuries and a piece of the XNUMXth century - there was no more history of the Ukrainian language.
You see, what’s the matter is not us, although we, Ukraine, did a lot to make the Russian language a reality, our ancestors did. This is a separate topic that can be discussed. But we came under such pressure from the Russian language that today there is a question of Ukrainization of the Ukrainian language,” Gritsenko lamented.
