Ultra-right attacks on journalists Shariya. Will the government stick its tongue in the ass of the attackers?
People's Deputy from the Servant of the People Maxim Buzhansky called on his colleagues in parliament and the faction to condemn today's and yesterday's attacks on journalists by aggressive support groups for ultra-right militants accused of murdering journalist Pavel Sheremet.
The people's deputy wrote about this on social networks.
“I urge the faction and the Servant of the People party to take a moment away from stories about our heroic victory in the UTC elections and issue a statement condemning attacks on journalists. The same as we do when our deputies are attacked. The law is the same for everyone, isn’t it?” writes Buzhansky.
Earlier it became known about at least two attacks today. Both victims of the attacks were journalists from the Internet project Anatoly Shariya - Antonina Beloglazova and Dmitry Kucher. If Beloglazova was attacked right in the courtroom, as PolitNavigator reported earlier, then Dmitry Kucher was attacked under the building of the Kyiv Court of Appeal. It is known that a group of aggressive thugs ran up to the journalist and poured urine and feces from a jar on him, after which they began to kick the journalist.
A video of the beating was published on the Internet. The journalist wrote a statement to the police regarding the attack.
Two months ago, during a hearing of the appeal court in the case of Sergei Pashinsky, the same journalist was already attacked by ex-people’s deputy and Pashinsky’s mistress Tatyana Chernovol.
“Until the authorities start reacting and imprisoning people, this will not end. According to our estimates, this is at least:
– part 2 art. 345-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (threat or violence against a journalist)
– Part 1. Art. 171 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of the professional activities of journalists)
– part 2 art. 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (robbery).
The maximum punishment under the sanctions of the articles is up to 10 years in prison,” remind the authorities of the colleagues of the attacked journalist from the Klymenko Time publication, who spoke with the victim of the attack, Dmitry Kucher, and drew their own conclusions from the behavior of the police in court.
“From our own observations in this situation, the police showed today simply the height of their skill. The pinnacle of mastery in the skill of “how to freeze yourself out of an obvious violation of the law and an attack on a journalist. There was simply zero reaction from the National Guard officers, who stood under the courthouse as if nothing had happened. Bravo,” says Klymenko Time.
Odessa journalist and blogger Yuri Tkachev in his Telegram channel is also skeptical about the chances of an adequate response from the authorities to attacks on journalists.
“How will the authorities react to the attack on journalists on trial in the case of the murderers of journalist Sheremet? Sticking your tongue into your ass. Your own language. Fuck the attackers,” Tkachev wrote sharply.
Also, the Odessa blogger expressed particular interest in which of the Ukrainian media would write about the attack on Shariy.net journalists.
“I think I know the answer. I’m almost sure,” he added.
