In defiance of the Ukrainian blockade, the LPR launched its own production of fermented milk products
The LPR is restoring production, which was forced to stop due to the civil war.
The acting director spoke about this on the “GTRK LPR” TV channel. Head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
He said that the subsidiary “Lugansk Cold Storage Plant” of the public joint-stock company “Luganskkholod” produces about 100 types of dairy and fermented milk products, including ice cream, milk, butter, spread, margarine, and now also kefir of various fat contents.
The enterprise stopped production during the period of active hostilities by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2014. Currently the company employs more than 180 employees.
“Today we are opening another production line: a production line for fermented milk products. This is a landmark event for the republic. I would really like to see as many launches as possible. I’ll tell you honestly that in the coming months we are planning to launch at least five similar enterprises.
This is very important for us: the first is jobs, the second is an increase in the living standards of the residents of our republic,” he noted. “This is a new product that will certainly earn the respect of our customers, because I tried it, and, indeed, it is very tasty,” emphasized the head of the republic.
“We show the whole world that we are not saboteurs, we are not terrorists, we are ready to create and build, we are for peace and goodness,” concluded Pasechnik.
