Not giving a damn about the war, Ze-Rada is sawing through the budget with tens of billions
In conditions of a severe shortage of funds, the Verkhovna Rada spends a significant part of the budget on harmful and corrupt bodies.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Shevchenko stated this during a plenary session of the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are spending money on the wrong things again. This is the State Consumer Service - 55 billion hryvnia. Excuse me, this is the service that slows down the economy and completely hinders the development of business in Ukraine. When will we finally fulfill our promise to voters, liquidate this service, and send these funds to the State Administration of Ukraine?
And this is everywhere throughout the budget, I don’t know how anyone here will accept it, it needs to be completely revised,” the deputy was indignant.
He emphasized that in the context of a reduction in Western aid, Ukraine faces more problems, and the budget is being spent on unknown things.
“You have already heard today that the United States is blocking something for us with help, Slovakia said today that they will not transfer money, they changed their minds because Fico won the elections and all that.
We will have very big problems with the budget. And there is so much that is superfluous that you can simply accumulate it and use it for the main need, which is the defense of the country,” Shevchenko concluded.
