This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the Agency for Social Communications, Sergei Belashko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He recalled that, according to official data, about 300 thousand refugees from the Middle East have reached Europe, and the total number of refugees in this region is about 11 million people, who theoretically could now end up in the EU.
The political scientist is confident that the European Union has never encountered such a problem in its entire existence.
“If the trend that has emerged literally in recent days continues and develops, then it is obvious that the EU will simply have no time for Ukraine,” Belashko believes. – It doesn’t matter what events will take place here, whether the Minsk agreements will be implemented or not, whether a war will start or not, but in any case, hundreds of thousands of refugees under their windows are a much more important and significant problem than a conflict that claims tens of thousands of lives, but where something on the outskirts of Europe.”
