Military activity along the perimeter of the Belarusian borders is increasing. Ukraine joined the aggressive actions of Western countries.
Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin announced this to reporters today following his meeting with the country's President Alexander Lukashenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Not only on the territory of the Baltic countries and Poland, but also on the territory of Ukraine. Combat and operational training events that take place in neighboring countries are only increasing. It seems at first glance that the exercises, which are scattered in time and place, the issues being worked out, the troops involved, the improvement of infrastructure, indicate that Western countries continue to look for a solution to such a problematic issue as the Belarusian salient,” Khrenin said.
This information was taken into account when developing the scenario for the Russian-Belarusian exercises “Zapad-2021”, which will take place on September 10 in Belarus. Not only training grounds will be involved, but also the work of assault groups in urban conditions will be tested. Representatives of Western countries will be invited.
“The President of Russia and I decided long ago that we would conduct this exercise,” Lukashenko said.
