“I represent Ukraine, but I was born in the Soviet Union and remember well what a totalitarian system is. And when I hear the speech of the Russian delegation, I see before me the standard image of a Soviet man - a man who defends his empire at any cost, at the cost of lies, distortion of facts.

Ukrainians expect understanding and sympathy from you, but also effective peace. And I tell you sincerely. And I sincerely tell you that rabid bears cannot be tamed. The maximum is that they are put on a chain. This chain can only be served by sanctions and toughening of relations,” Bereza said.
