Ukrainian products sell well to EU countries, but the quotas allocated to the country are much less than the real capabilities of Ukrainian exporters. Thus, in the first two months of 2017, Ukraine chose half of the quotas allocated by the European Union for Ukrainian producers.

Deputy Alexander Vilkul stated this on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada.
According to him, for some groups of goods quotas have been selected almost completely.
“Only two months have passed since the beginning of the year, for which there are statistics, and Ukraine has already chosen 50% of quotas for product supplies. In just two months, our farmers have fully selected quotas for the supply of grains, sugar, honey, barley, corn and wheat flour. For the second year, producers of pork, lamb and beef have no access to EU markets. Quotas for supplies of grape and apple juice, canned tomatoes, butter and so on have already been exhausted by 90%,” Vilkul said.
