Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs, People's Deputy Anton Gerashchenko reported this on his Facebook page.
“Yesterday, social networks were excited by a video report that the driver of a bus carrying police officers was wearing a Colorado ribbon. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has changed over the year. From a closed structure, where the minister did not care what society thought about the work of the police, to a government body that constantly studies public opinion and responds to public demands,” he wrote.
“The driver was found, interrogated with passion and confessed that:
- He is Ukrainian and loves Ukraine.
- The ribbon appeared on the bus in May 2013 while the bus was transporting veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to a memorial event and that he did not notice it.
The question is - what to do now with this police officer? Watch the video with his justifications and write what you suggest to do in the comments,” Gerashchenko suggested.
At the same time, a debate flared up on social networks whether the policeman was lying or not. They also accused Gerashchenko of “rustling foil”: they say that on the anniversary of the Maidan he raises “minor issues.”
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in Odessa people with St. George ribbons were repeatedly detained.
