This threat was made by Viktor Romanyuk, a people's deputy of Ukraine from the Popular Front faction.
“Between Moldova and Russia there is a huge country - Ukraine - which today is in a state of war with Russia. And which will never allow the integration of Moldova into those structures that they promise you about today. If today one of the politicians recognizes Crimea as Russian territory, Ukraine will take appropriate measures to protect its interests, including the blockade of Moldova, the blockade of customs, the blockade of the movement of individuals and legal entities, goods, etc. These are huge losses for economy of Moldova. This must be clearly understood,” he said, referring to the statement about the ownership of Crimea by Russia, which was made during a recent televised debate by the candidate for the presidency of Moldova, the socialist Igor Dodon, whose rating, according to opinion polls, reaches 33%.
