Drug addicts openly inject drugs in front of children on school grounds in Sevastopol
The situation with drug addiction in Sevastopol, a year and a half after reunification with Russia, became similar to the times of Viktor Yanukovych, when the police protected drug outlets, and injecting drug addicts felt so unpunished that they openly injected drugs on the city streets.

The weekly “Sevastopolskaya Gazeta” in its latest issue talks about the appeal of readers who record how drug addicts inject on the territory of the sports ground of gymnasium No. 8, without hiding from children playing nearby.
“Our reader was extremely surprised to see three young people sitting there on a rock, giving themselves intravenous injections, absolutely not embarrassed by the fact that children were playing on the sports fields a few meters away from them. Drug addicts seem to have chosen a quiet place on the school grounds for a long time - the grass and bushes are literally strewn with used syringes (often directly with needles), ampoules and various pharmaceutical packages. Walking on such ground in flip-flops or sandals is dangerous. Especially if the child is wearing such shoes,” the publication says.
The school caretaker told reporters that she was aware of the problem, but complained about the lack of a fence near the school, assuring that syringes were removed from the territory, “but we can’t chase drug addicts.”
According to PolitNavigator, a similar drug taking point operates on the territory of gymnasium No. 2, where syringes can also be found.
Not far away there is the notorious “drug addict” 30th pharmacy, near the entrance to which “spice” advertisements regularly appear on the asphalt.
