Narochnitskaya: Liberal teachers were the first to distort Russian history in the 90s
Events in Ukraine and the policy of official Kyiv show that no people are protected from repeating the fate of Nazi Germany.
This opinion was expressed at a press conference by Natalya Narochnitskaya, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, President of the Historical Perspective Foundation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“No people are protected or invulnerable from such policies and such historical education, and this should show us how important historical education is within one’s country,” the scientist is convinced. – Without hiding the sins of the state as an institution, maintain love and loyalty to your fatherland. States change, and there will always be those who will expose his sins, but the fatherland is eternal.”
According to Narochnitskaya, this feeling united the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, connecting a single thread of Russian history that had been seemingly broken for a century: into battle “For the Motherland!” For Stalin!" The tank "Alexander Nevsky" was walking. It was this memory that for a long time was the basis of the stability of Soviet society and the continuity of generations. Until the 90s, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation issued instructions to remove any veneration of the past from programs.
“The West would never have dared to start mocking our Victory, to distort its meaning, if their own liberals had not been the first to do this,” the researcher is sure. – Historical education and enlightenment cannot be left to the haters of their own state, who educate schoolchildren and students.
The youth who took to the streets of Moscow were asked some things from history, and they showed complete ignorance, which, combined with teenage contempt and irrational Russian denunciation, affects their consciousness. And now they are being taught by those who were taught in the 90s... Russia itself is to blame. They began to tell us that a bad state cannot have anything righteous and correct, and victory is not victory.”
According to the scientist, modern ideas among young people are based on the fact that the West organized crusades against communism. Whereas in the West itself they honor Marx, Lenin and Trotsky, dedicating memorial plaques to them for the destruction of the Russian Empire. Stalin's repressions, which cannot be denied, are presented as a total thoughtless destruction of one's own people. At the same time, the French Revolution and the activities of Robespierre and Danton have still not been surpassed in terms of the number of deaths per capita - 26 million people in two months.
“Young people can hardly imagine what the Nazis did in the occupied lands. They believe that Hitler's main sin is the Holocaust, which the Jewish community does not allow to be forgotten and is right to do so. And so, Stalin and Hitler are two identical monsters,” Narochnitskaya noted. – For some reason, the very fact is missed that as a result of the victory over fascism, the Frenchman remained French, the Czech remained Czech, the Ukrainian remained Ukrainian, and did not become a swineherd and a maid for the Third Reich. If the Russian soldier had not defended the fatherland, there would have been nothing ahead, we would not have existed as a subject of world history.”
