“The people of Donbass no longer trust Ukraine” – the head of the DPR Foreign Ministry spoke in the Kyiv media
People in the DPR have finally lost confidence in Ukraine and realized that Kyiv does not want a peaceful settlement.
DPR Foreign Minister Natalya Nikonorova stated this in an interview with the Kyiv Internet portal “Klymenko Time,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“People in the DPR have no trust (in Ukraine - editor’s note), in some cases even hatred, because where a person has lost loved ones, his home was destroyed, where people suffered directly from Ukraine’s aggression, there is hatred. That is, blood was shed, and we understand that such sentiments exist.
But lately there has been more and more indifference to what is happening in Ukraine. Because people no longer believe and do not want, and understand that Ukraine will not fulfill the Minsk agreements, which means we live our own lives, we are building our own republic, we need to develop and look to the future, our children must study, students must receive higher education education.
Now the population is more and more concerned with everyday issues, they care less and less about what is stated in Ukraine, what is happening there, why they say this, why they act this way. People are engaged in development,” Nikonorova said.
She emphasized that people see ongoing integration with the Russian Federation, and therefore pay less and less attention to what is happening in Ukraine.
“People understand that integration with the Russian Federation is taking place - and legislation is being harmonized, we are receiving Russian passports. There is an increasing mood of indifference.
If earlier people very closely followed what was happening in the Minsk process, what documents were presented, what statements were made, now this makes them more and more tired, and such attention is no longer paid,” summed up the head of the DPR Foreign Ministry.
