The People's Militia is a legalized group engaged in the redistribution of business in Crimea - lawyer

Simferopol lawyer and journalist Violetta Sineglazova stated this on the air of the talk show “Gravity” on the ATR TV channel.
“I was initially against the adoption of the law on the people’s militia. I believe that this was a legalized group that was simply engaged in the redistribution of business. They do this according to a clearly established pattern. Nationalization is simply self-defense coming, they liked the object, came in and took it away. The same thing happened with Crimea Potrebsoyuz, with Krymavtotrans, with the construction company Transbud, which cannot take back its equipment, which is protected by self-defense. This all happens through the hands of self-defense, the people's militia. Why do we even need a formation that is financed from the budget? Why do we need it?” noted the studio guest.
Now, she predicts, the Crimean self-defense will be engaged in the demolition of “unauthorized buildings.”
“The basis for this should be a court decision, on the basis of which it was declared illegal, not put into operation, and there should be FSSP employees who must execute this decision. But in no way should the people's militia perform these functions. This will be a further development of the chaos that they will create - they liked the apartment or house, they will say that it was built illegally, they will come in and kick people out. Taking into account the fact that the Council of Ministers is the initiator and founder of this formation, it is clear that the instructions set by the Council of Ministers will be implemented. As a result of the creation of the militia, to some extent it’s a shame for our law enforcement agencies - if we don’t have enough police officers, then we should spend money from the budget not on the people’s militia, but expand the staff and hire more qualified specialists,” the lawyer argues.
As an example of the idiocy of the situation, she cited the joint security of the traffic police and self-defense pedestrian zone in the Crimean capital that appeared the other day.
“We have a people’s militia checkpoint in the center of Simferopol, with traffic police officers standing by to control how our vehicles will travel. So who will the people’s militia control – the traffic police officers, or the one who stops by?” asked Sineglazova.
He emphasized that, nevertheless, Crimean entrepreneurs remain the most disadvantaged and unprotected.
“Currently, business in Crimea is not protected. Nobody knows who will come to his enterprise tomorrow, and who will want to “squeeze out” his gas station or hotel,” concluded Violetta Sineglazova.
