People's Artist of Russia: Efremov is simply a coward and a traitor
Russian artist Mikhail Efremov, who caused a fatal accident in the center of Moscow while under the influence of alcohol and drugs, does not deserve respect.
People's Artist of Russia Alexander Klyukvin stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in an interview with Izvestia.
“I don’t want to condemn Misha Efremov. In principle, he is not very interesting to me. I would respect him if he acted the way he started. He sat down on a stool and said: “Forgive me, I betrayed you all. I betrayed myself too. Sorry". It was a man's act, human, correct. But then the show began: friends wanting to get away with it, a cunning lawyer.
Some people feel that they are more protected by law than everyone else. Quite possible. But when someone defends themselves with money or connections, it’s despicable. And it’s doubly mean when you know about it and use it shamelessly. The law is the law,” Klyukvin said.
He does not agree that Efremov’s subsequent behavior was due to excessive trust in the lawyer.
"No. He's just a coward. Although, in his place, anyone would be scared, because this is a career ruin. Many people drink. But drinking artists are more noticeable than others. Well, of course - flowers, applause, restaurants for them. I also drink: at home, after work, with friends on the weekend. But never before a performance or while driving,” the artist noted.
“What do you mean by the word “trouble”? Who got into big trouble on the Garden Ring - Misha Efremov or Sergei Zakharov? A pattern occurred with the artist. And the family of the deceased is in grief. Many people are now speculating on the word “trouble” when talking about Efremov. But he drank all his life. What the hell is wrong with him!? Promiscuity plus genes. Dad, a talented actor and a great director, was also a drinker,” Klyukvin concluded.
