The Popular Front and the BPP justify Parubiy and his statement about Hitler
The words of the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy about Hitler’s direct democracy are just an unsuccessful comparison, an example from history, without which we cannot live. MP from the BPP Ivan Vinnik and MP from the Popular Front Yevgeniy Deydey stated this on the air of the “Evening Prime” TV channel 112 Ukraine.
“Obviously, this is not the best comparison, especially today, when the Russian Federation very much uses the theme of Nazism, trying to stick it to Ukrainian heroes. In this case, I would not dramatize this situation, because I actually think that the person made an unsuccessful comparison. He wanted to make a certain metaphor, dialectic regarding how direct forms of expression of the will of citizens worked in other states and did not give the best example. Moreover, not the best leader,” Vinnik said.
“He remembered this purely as a historical fact, and in this case it is history, it is a fact, and I think that there is no need to inflate a tragedy out of this case, I think that there was no background in his words. He just gave an example from history, that's all. You understand that we cannot live without history, and this took place, it cannot be erased,” said Evgeniy Deydey.
