According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, today at about 12:00 at the entrance to Slavyansk from Kramatorsk, unknown persons stopped a bus with 13 passengers. Among them were 7 representatives of the OSCE, 5 representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the driver of the vehicle. Unknown people took a bus with passengers to the territory of the SBU Directorate in Slavyansk.

Negotiations are currently underway with representatives of pro-Russian forces for their release. They refused to release the hostages, citing the need for them to communicate with the competent authorities of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian security officials said.

In turn, the leader of the People's Militia of Slavyansk, Vyacheslav Ponomarev, said that an agreement had been reached with OSCE representatives that they would come as observers, the Slavgorod publication reports. However, together with the European representatives, there was an employee of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the car, who was detained by self-defense activists.

Vyacheslav Ponomarev stated that he did not know the details of the detention, but the OSCE representatives were not detained by the self-defense forces and their whereabouts are not known. He did not provide information about the General Staff employee.

“People who travel as observers take with them a real intelligence officer, this is not beautiful at all,” said Vyacheslav Ponomarev.

Let us recall that earlier American journalist Simon Ostrovsky was accused of working for the Right Sector, which is why he was detained by the militia.
