According to the Novovolynsk Information Portal, the women took the mayor of the city Viktor Sapozhnikov and his deputy Andrei Storonsky in a tight circle and did not let them go until they told about all the problems of their sons. The mayor of the city promised to help the problems.
The women were indignant that fighters from Novovolynsk and Rovno had been in captivity for two weeks, and there was no reaction from the authorities. If this continues, they promise to go to the East themselves.
“Our sons have been in hot spots for four months now. Despite the promises that replace them. They were simply abandoned to their fate, and they tell us that we are fools because we could not buy our sons off the mobilization,” the women said.
Soldiers' mothers are determined. They signed an appeal to the regional authorities, asking them to tell them what officials are doing to help the military. If they are not given a clear answer by August 7, they promise to organize protests.
As Navigator reported, earlier in Volyn they began to prepare a petition in defense of soldiers from the 51st brigade who took refuge from shelling in Russia and are now accused of desertion.
