“We’re being dumped!” – the head of foreign affairs in the Rada squeals about the betrayal of the West
The West is “draining” Ukraine by agreeing to the construction of the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline to European countries. The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs, Anna Gopko, stated this in a commentary to the Den newspaper, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to her, by supporting the gas pipeline, the European Union allows Russia to earn money for “aggression.”
“What frightens me, in particular, is that Germany has pulled France over to its side in the Nord Stream 2 issue. Because this particular project is a kind of invitation to Russia to take full-scale aggressive actions. In fact, Germany, France and other EU countries provide financial opportunities to the Kremlin through the purchase of gas, the monopoly of Gazprom. And through Nord Stream 2 we will lose this leverage for our safety.
Russia will continue to have the opportunity to finance terrorism, in the future interfere in elections by carrying out cyber attacks... Our partners in the Normandy Four - France and Germany, by supporting Nord Stream 2, are "merging" Ukraine and European security," he laments Gopko.
