A series of strikes awaits us and the collapse of the energy system - Ukrainian analyst
Ukraine will face waves of attacks on critical infrastructure.
Energy market expert Viktor Kurtev stated this on the Internet blog “Khvylya,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kurtev, Russia will soon launch a series of attacks on energy facilities, which will lead to the collapse of Ukraine’s unified energy system.
“The very logic of the current events dictates that we will have to experience more than one wave in our critical infrastructure in the next month or month and a half,” the expert said.
“If you let it happen, it will be bad. The energy system itself is built in such a way that it is redundant many times. That is, if you get, for example, here, here and here, then in a day or two or three we will restore power supply.
If you completely massively, that is, conditionally, hit all the station nodes of nuclear power plants and smash them, hit the list of a dozen key substations of 750 kilovolts - if everything happens, then there is a certain logic of the operation of the energy system, if you destroy a critical number of connections and elements, then The energy system will begin to be divided into balanced energy regions.
That is, it will begin to fall apart as a single energy system and balanced areas will automatically appear around large power plants... In the most critical case, when Armageddon comes, if they shoot out all their reserves that they have, it will be difficult. It will be dark somewhere... It won’t happen all at once, it will be some kind of waves,” Kurtev said.
