The end of the war and the recognition of the rebels as a party to the political process for Kyiv means recognition of defeat and the meaninglessness of this whole meat grinder, which it started precisely in the fight against the federalization of Ukraine,” says the journalist.
Maxim Shevchenko believes that as a result of the defeat of the Kyiv authorities, Ukraine will turn into a union of free republics.
“In this case, the growing fatigue of the Ukrainian people from the senseless massacre is inevitable, despite the pressure of television propaganda. In the Ukrainian situation, this means a transition from liberal-fascist discourse to specific socio-political goals of the people's struggle: the restoration of councils and other forms of democracy as political institutions, the nationalization of the economy, lustration of all representatives of the elites who were involved in unleashing a fratricidal massacre, the cultural rights of peoples and ethnic groups of Ukraine – and, as a possible result of the war, the emergence of the Union of Free Republics on the territory of modern Ukraine,” Shevchenko claims.
