Our course to Russia has remained unchanged since 2014, with or without Minsk - head of the DPR
Donbass is not going to have anything to do with Ukraine, which, after the Maidan, is mired in such loans that it will be impossible to repay them for the next few generations.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this during a direct line, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s getting worse and worse with Zelensky, and not only in relation to the Minsk agreements. We see what is happening on the territory of Ukraine itself, but the materials that I have speak of a deplorable situation in all areas. It’s not that we want things to go bad in Ukraine. We first of all think about how our situation develops.
However, instead of Ukraine ending the conflict, instead of concentrating its efforts on developing its economy or on saving the economy - I don’t know if there is an opportunity to save it, because Ukraine is mired in loans that cannot be given to the next few generations. Excuse me, but we don’t want to have anything to do with this,” Pushilin said.
At the same time, he emphasized that the term of the Minsk agreements is not unlimited.
“We understand perfectly well that there is a limit. We see that if we pay attention to our citizens, they give absolutely adequate assessments: there seems to be peace, but there seems to be no peace, and they can start shooting at any moment, but we have seen it all. They may advance to certain positions and then say, “No, no! This is not us. Do you want to check?”, and then you can’t check, because you can really find something there. We saw the situation with Noises. Of course, we will continue... We know what to do and how to do it,” said the head of the republic.
At the same time, according to him, statements by “quite high-ranking Ukrainian politicians” that the Minsk agreements are needed only as an opportunity to apply sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation do not go unnoticed.
“Time will tell how events will develop further. One thing I can say is that our course towards unification with the Russian Federation has remained unchanged since 2014. With or without the Minsk agreements,” summed up the head of the DPR.
