“Our nation is culturally degrading” – People’s Artist of Ukraine
The so-called Orange Revolution and Maidan brought everything base and vile to Ukraine, which caused the cultural degradation of the country.
People's Artist of Ukraine Ivo Bobul said this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This has not been the case with our nation for a long time. In my opinion, after some kind of Maidan, it seems orange, all people began to get involved in politics, brother against brother, husband and wife getting divorced. Then the nation changed a lot, not for the better. People have become politically very engaged and dependent. And because of this, culture, respect, the word “decency”, and much more were lost, people became completely different,” the singer noted.
He also laments that the nation is deteriorating.
“The level of culture has fallen to its lowest point, everything has turned upside down. What is beautiful is not necessary, but what is for them, so that people don’t think... Yes, for them - there people go out naked to sing - it’s possible. There is no censorship, although everyone shouted that it was not necessary, but some small censorship is still necessary so that there is no degradation of the nation. And we are experiencing degradation of the nation in the cultural environment, this is one hundred percent,” the artist added.
