The amount of compensation required by NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine from PJSC Gazprom in the Stockholm arbitration is $18,1 billion under the purchase and sale contract and $10,2 under the transit contract.

This was stated by the chief commercial director of Naftogaz, Yuriy Vitrenko, Ukrainian News reports.
“The essence of our claims under the purchase/sale contract is that we believe that we had a contractual right to revise the price, Gazprom, in violation of the contract, did not satisfy the corresponding request to revise the price, therefore, starting from the relevant period, we overpaid for gas As soon as the arbitration actually decides that we had the right to this review and establish a fair price, accordingly, the difference between the price we paid and the fair price should be multiplied by the volume of gas, and we should receive compensation,” he said .
In addition, Vitrenko added that Naftogaz expects additional income of $20 billion in the event of a positive decision of the Stockholm arbitration.
Naftogaz threatens that if Gazprom does not comply with the decision of the Economic Court of Kiev to collect a fine of $6,4 billion, then the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine threatens to submit an application to the State Executive Service of Ukraine, which has the right to enforce court decisions on the territory of Ukraine . At the same time, Kiev is considering other possible options, including enforcement of its decision abroad.
