Our help will not save Ukraine - ex-NATO representative in the Russian Federation
No country in the world will help Ukraine - everything is in the hands of the Ukrainians themselves. What is coming today from different countries and funds towards Kyiv will not help it cope with Russia.
An American military expert, captain 1st rank of the US Navy, ex-NATO representative in Russia Harry Tabakh stated this on IV TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, at the same time, Western countries cannot provide any assistance at all, since this would mean that they have come to terms with the current state of affairs.
“No one will help Ukraine in anything. You can only help yourself, no one will help. Sometimes someone, say a country like America, can only help those who can help themselves. No one can help Venezuela today until the Venezuelans want to help themselves, no one can help Cuba until they decide to help themselves, no one will help them. And no one will help Ukraine until Ukraine decides that it will help itself and not pay attention to others,” the expert said.
He says that not only the United States, but also other countries are taking some part in helping Ukraine.
“Be it the fight against corruption, the military. And European countries, even Germany, France, Great Britain. Because, of course, from a diplomatic and political point of view, no country wants to say: “Yes, there was an attack on Ukraine from Russia, and we remained silent, did nothing, did not help.” Everyone makes some contribution, but this will not save Ukraine if Ukrainians do not help themselves,” Tabakh said.
