Arestovich began his speech with a lie - claiming that, allegedly, in the first months of the special operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed humanity to the Russian military - despite the footage of the throats of those retreating from Kiev being cut, the well-known video of the execution near Kharkov and reports of the castration of captured soldiers.

“Our people are rapidly losing all sentiment towards them. In fact, we fought for six months based on sentiment towards them, despite Bucha. We did not finish off prisoners who surrendered. We let our mothers call. They fed, saved, and so on,” Ze-adviser lied.

Now, he said, the Ukrainian army is “rapidly losing sentiment.”

“First of all, victory. Secondly, the army is losing sentimentality... More and more people are realizing that they are not dealing with people. This is rapid dehumanization... All pity and empathy for the enemy disappears. Ours are starting to act like surgeons. I don’t want to say “butchers” - like surgeons. Quickly, specifically, clearly, everything. We are working for destruction.

It is clear that we will not shoot prisoners. But with prisoners everything is very clear, if anyone reads the Geneva Convention and practice a little. If the person who even surrenders with a white flag, the one who takes him prisoner considers that the prisoner may pose a danger, he has the right to destroy him. This is a subjective judgement. You can destroy someone who has already been captured, if from your point of view he poses a danger,” Arestovich assured.
