“Our children will tell us - you ate our future!” – expert on Ukraine’s debts

Ukraine spends on repaying debts on previously taken out loans amounts that exceed government spending on health care, education and defense. Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Yuriy Hanushchak stated this at a round table in Kyiv.

“We have 15% for debt service. 111 billion. So that you understand what this figure is - 60 billion goes to defense, 55 billion to health care, 60 billion to education. And 111 – for debt service!
Nobody thinks about this number. It goes on as if on its own... Our children will tell us: “you ate our future,” the politician stated.
