“Our houses were destroyed, and people died in families,” refugees from Krasnogorovka (VIDEO)
Donetsk, July 25 (Navigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – At times it seems that when you constantly hear about the grief and suffering of people, you somehow become callous, and the acuity of perception is somewhat dulled. But that's not true. Especially when people describe what happened to them a few hours ago, and you realize that it is happening now, in real time. There is practically nothing left of the suburb of Donetsk, the village of Krasnogorovka; a significant part of it was literally razed to the ground.

The words of the saved people are permeated with pain and suffering. People's lives were simply ruined.
A very elderly woman, 74-year-old Evgenia Tsiklauri, said: “I grew up an orphan, my mother raised me alone - the war is to blame. And now our hut has been completely bombed. How did we manage to go into the basement with the children... Otherwise they would have killed us all. Oh, poor children! How afraid they were! They cling to us and tremble like aspen leaves. They sat for a long time. I say to my son: Zhenya, come on, I’ll go and see what’s there? I don’t care anymore - I’ve lived my life. Didn't let me in. But I went anyway. I went out and looked: one neighbor’s house was on fire, another had the roof blown off her house. Everything on the street was beaten up. We have a house and a kitchenette. Everything was destroyed. She lived there for 40 years. Now there is nothing."
Vika, 34 years old, mother of five children. “My mother and brother stayed there,” he cries. – There is no electricity, no water, no gas for 4 days. Grandfather doesn’t want to go, so they stayed. Our neighbor was so covered in small fragments that she only began to come out after 4 days, otherwise she was lying there. Krasnogorovka was completely destroyed. And we were left homeless with our children. Several people died on our street. The whole family died, they only had a girl, 8 years old, who survived, her relatives took her away. They tried to get out of there for 4 days and were hit by a shell. On the neighboring streets, families also simply died. It didn’t really bother us before, but now it’s just scary, like being bombed, it’s some kind of horror. And how they deliberately hit us, everyone’s residential buildings. We had no militias, nothing. So we were left with nothing.”
Every day in Donetsk brings new destruction and new suffering of people. Every hour in Donetsk, someone's house is destroyed, and someone's family becomes a refugee on their own land. People are tired of the war that was declared on them, tired of being outcasts in their land. All they want is peace and tranquility. But today they see only grief and destruction.
