Our European allies are tired of sanctions and are helping Russia - Turchynov
In the energy and economic war against Ukraine, Russia has allies, including in the European Union.
This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Alexander Turchynov, speaking at the IX Expert Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The economic and energy war that the Russian Federation is waging against us is very dangerous, and, unfortunately, in this war Russia has allies, including those whom we consider our strategic partners. Of course, one of these dangerous projects for us is Nord Stream 2. This is a real challenge for us. This is a test of our partnership with our colleagues, because the losses that Ukraine will receive are an order of magnitude greater than the credit resources that are offered to us today, the conditional assistance that is offered to us,” the politician said.
He admitted that more and more European politicians are talking about fatigue from anti-Russian sanctions and are proposing to lift them, which, according to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, speaks of “global challenges” for Ukraine.
“So Ukraine is not tired of the blood and pain that we feel every day, but our partners are tired of sanctions, which are actually protection for that very Europe? – Turchinov was indignant. – And “Nord Stream 2”, of course, is precisely a sign when, on the one hand, they formally talk about the continuation of sanctions, and on the other hand, they contribute to the implementation of Russian economic and strategic interests, which cancel out all the developments that have been made the last four years."
