One of the participants in the action, who introduced himself as a volunteer, stated this during the nationalist march taking place today in Kyiv, in a commentary for Radio Liberty, answering the question of how the attitude of Ukrainians towards volunteer battalions has changed.
“Unfortunately, it has gotten worse. In 2014, we marched, liberating village after village and city after city. Then we believed in a very quick victory. If they continue to put a spoke in the wheels, then I don’t know what the prospects will be.”
The RS interlocutor also has a negative attitude towards the agreement on the divorce of the conflicting parties in Donbass.
“I don’t understand how the Ukrainian army on Ukrainian soil can hand over Ukrainian citizens to be slaughtered by the Chechens and other narrow-eyed people who are on our territory. I am not going to rejoice at the surrender of Ukrainian territories. I don’t see any advantages in this,” said the volunteer member.
