“The moment of truth has come”: the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is increasingly dissatisfied with Germany
Ukraine recognized that Berlin and Kyiv take opposing positions on a number of fundamentally important issues.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba stated this on air on the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Every crisis brings relationships to a moment of truth. And now, with Germany, we have entered the moment of truth on a number of fundamentally important issues for the security and future of Ukraine as an independent state and Euro-Atlantic security as a whole. And these are the questions that I remembered at the beginning. This is support for the most powerful sanctions against Russia from Germany, this is Nord Stream 2, this is the issue of arms supplies,” the minister said.
“There is one aspect - this is the bilateral supply of weapons from Germany to Ukraine, but there are others, and you know this well. There is the question of Germany granting permission to a third country to transfer weapons, and there is the question of Germany’s consent to purchase weapons through the NATO system. And these are the issues where we believe there can be no talk at all about Germany blocking something in principle,” Kuleba said.
