This was reported in the fleet information support department.
“The past year has not been easy, but fateful. Crimea has returned home to Russia and each of us rightfully feels involved in this historical event, during which the Black Sea people showed their best side, confirming that the Black Sea Fleet has rightfully been the guarantor of peace and stability in the region for more than 230 years “- the text of the congratulations says.
The events of the “Crimean Spring,” the commander emphasizes, radically changed the situation, becoming the starting point for the full development of the Black Sea Fleet.
“We are building housing and modern military camps, receiving new planes and boats, our ships and vessels are serving as part of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean Sea and in the ocean zone. The intensity of combat training for the crews of airplanes and helicopters of naval aviation, marine units and coastal troops is constantly growing. A number of new formations and units have been formed in the fleet, and their re-equipment with the latest models of equipment has begun. In 2015, we will accept the latest ships and submarines into the fleet.”
The admiral is confident that 2015 will end the stagnation in the development of the fleet:
“The New Year will bring with it many other important events and changes for the Crimeans and Sevastopol residents, as well as the understanding that with its beginning the forced stagnation and transition period ended, a new time has come - the time of development of the Black Sea Fleet and the entire Crimean Federal District,” predicts Alexander Vitko.
