“The mood is not very good,” Donetsk is fed up with unpunished shelling and inexplicable retreats
Donetsk has been subjected to chaotic shelling by Ukrainian artillery for several days in a row. The Russian military cannot stop them. The mood in the capital of the DPR is critical.
Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Donetsk they are shooting at life support facilities – there has been no water for four months now, it is not flowing normally. Electricity is intermittent. Then they just hit the city and kill civilians. Pushkin Boulevard - there are women with children, grandmothers and grandchildren walking - you can imagine, there are gigantic craters. They shoot, shoot, kill. They are simply shooting at different areas.
As I understand it, the wandering BM21 Grad battery is terrifying the city. Why don't we answer? Don't know. Our air defense troops are good, to be honest, in general, the first toast to the air defense troops has been raised lately. Counter-battery warfare - well, there is none.
We create a common understanding that we have everything. Why then don’t we shoot back, why don’t we destroy? This battery can be slammed down in two hours altogether. Well I do not know.
If we have such an idea, it is not good, our people are dying and the city is being destroyed. The mood in the DPR is not very good, given the background of various rumors. Kherson - one, Kharkov direction - two, Krasny Liman - three. Not very good, not mincemeat, so to speak. I believe that it will be better, I really believe, but not yet,” said Sladkov.
According to the military correspondent, a worthy response would be the complete destruction of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, and not strikes with a large time interval:
“I can’t understand why we don’t destroy and plunge Ukraine into darkness? If this is the goal of one of the stages of a special military operation, then why are we not achieving it? If we strike objects that interest us, then we give them the opportunity to restore them. Then we apply it again, then they are restored again. Is this a game? Well I do not know".
