In Ukraine, almost all chemical industry enterprises that used gas as a raw material have been stopped.

Gennady Ryabtsev, deputy director of the Psyche scientific and technical center, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“Now natural gas is no longer used as a raw material in Ukraine. That is, almost all chemical industry enterprises that used gas as a raw material for the production of various chemical products - fertilizers and so on - have been stopped. On the one hand, this reduces the risk of gas shortages, on the other hand, it calls into question the functioning of the Ukrainian economy, which is now showing growth solely due to monetary factors. Our growth is not in the real sector of the economy, which continues to shrink, but in the virtual economy – transactions, including due to the fact that the hryvnia is becoming cheaper,” Ryabtsev noted.
