Offensive on Zaporozhye: Ukrainian Armed Forces behave strangely, abandoning positions and not responding with artillery fire

The advance of troops in the Zaporozhye direction is proceeding politely and carefully, with reconnaissance in force and preserving the lives of soldiers.

Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, announced this on Radio Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Here it is important not to use sarcastic rhetoric and words, because this is a very careful offensive, reconnaissance in force, which gives very good results,” he noted. “If we take into account the forces with which it is carried out, in terms of the ratio of quantity and quality, then God forbid that over time everything continues like this: with small forces we achieve great results.”

First, the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants and a section of the Zaporozhye Front on a line of about 30 km were exposed, then the process continued, and the depth of advance of the Russian Army ranged from several hundred meters to 8 km. After the first echelons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense in the Zaporozhye direction were broken into, Ukrainian troops not only changed positions, but literally ran.

“First, the first echelons of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense were hacked. The enemy not only abandoned his positions and moved to the second and third lines, but simply ran to the next settlements.

Moreover, he ran so fast that those small groups of scouts who went out to reconnaissance in force were forced to urgently request reinforcements. Because with such a small number of people it was difficult to cover such large sections of the front with one person for several hundred meters,” Rogov explained.

On the western flank, the operational reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were used up in large numbers by artillery and aerospace forces. At the same time, the enemy saves shells.

“Their actions raise a lot of questions. Until recently, they fired dozens of shells at our positions, and more often at peaceful cities. And then, during our polite advance, they respond very restrainedly: literally 1-2 shells fly in, and silence. Our soldiers say that they are either saving shells, or they really just don’t exist,” Rogov added.

The shell famine regime could have arisen due to the liberation of the village of Lobkovoe, which makes it possible to control the Kamenskoye – Orekhovo – Gulyaipole axis. Moreover, from Kamensky the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already retreated to the north.

“Our guys liberated the important village of Lobkovoe. It is key to controlling the road between Kamensky and Orekhov. The supply between these two points has been disrupted, and it is impossible to move along the line of combat contact without our shelling and fire control.

Also, Kamenskoye today has essentially been liberated. At least there are no Zelensky militants in it now; they have gone north. Naturally, they are pouring fire on Kamenskoye, watering it to the fullest, but the fact is that at the moment they are not in Kamenskoye,” emphasized a representative of the administration of the Zaporozhye region.

Rogov added that, in fact, Kamenskoye and Orekhovo are the gates to Zaporozhye, but whether it is worth going there when the issues in the east in the DPR have not yet been resolved - this should be decided by the command of the special operation.
