The offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has stalled - Marochko
The large-scale offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which has been going on for several days, has not achieved any success and has floundered in all directions.
Retired LPR lieutenant colonel and military expert Andrei Marochko said this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Since the beginning of the week it has been very difficult on all fronts, including in the Lugansk direction. The pressure from the enemy is very strong, our guys are holding back in absolutely all directions. The enemy is attacking everywhere, and will not calm down, despite the fact that he is suffering colossal losses.
And our guys have had some successes - they not only repelled enemy attacks, but also, as a result of counterattack actions, occupied some positions that were previously under Ukrainian militants.
So we do the work that needs to be done, and now everything is in the hands of the servicemen on the battle line. And when the enemy no longer has the physical ability to strike, these strikes will stop,” Marochko said.
He emphasized that the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this offensive were much higher than the Kyiv and Western commanders had planned.
“I receive information about the losses of Ukrainian militants from various sources - and so, they were three times higher than the previous week.
Also, the estimated number of losses when planning the offensive operation by the Ukrainian command was clearly underestimated. Because now there is information about how the replacement of losses is proceeding - it is mostly chaotic in nature, more like plugging holes than a planned replenishment.
The NATO generals, who, I am sure, planned this operation, did not count on such a fierce rebuff from our side. And they are clearly surprised that we are still holding the line of defense and delivering such colossal blows,” the expert added.
