NATO is providing increasingly open and active support for the creation of a so-called “Greater Albania,” which would include parts of central Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro in addition to Albania itself and separatist-held Kosovo. The corresponding plans were discussed at the end of September in Brussels, reports the Serbian publication Kurir.

As stated in the publication, a warning about this was received by the Serbian security service from Moscow last week. Russian intelligence representatives also sent intercepted messages to Belgrade. The documents confirm ties between NATO and Albanian extremists in the region.

The current Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, visited Belgrade twice, where he provoked a scandal with his inflammatory statements. During his visit on November 10, 2014, an Albanian official stated that Kosovo is "an independent state and a reality that cannot be changed" and then, on October 13, 2015, he called on Belgrade to recognize Kosovo because "it would be better for everyone."

Not long ago, Rama sent a message to Albanians in Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo saying that they all live in “a territory that must be united.” Rama's message, according to the Russian portal Sputnik, was conveyed through diplomatic channels by his staff in Podgorica, Skopje and Pristina, as well as some Albanian leaders in south-central Serbia.

Serbian security officials say this is just the beginning:

“Rama’s message about a “single territory” inhabited by Albanians is only the beginning of a new political “war” that Rama and his accomplices are plotting against Serbia. The Albanian prime minister has made no secret of his big territorial claims, but he now clearly has strong support from the West, especially the NATO alliance, which does not like the relationship between Belgrade and Moscow. One must be naive and think that Rama acts on his own,” says the source.

However, none of the Serbian officials wanted to officially comment on this information.

Analyst of the Russian Foundation for Strategic Culture Aleksandar Pavic considers the information of Serbian journalists to be real.

“Rama does not hide the fact that he is a supporter of “Greater Albania” and that Tirana has Great Albanian claims. However, it should be known that Rama would not have said this without the permission of his bosses, primarily NATO and the US. He is responsible for provocations, his level in international relations is raising the international temperature,” Pavic said.

“The United States of America and NATO are clearly not abandoning their subversive plans against Serbia. The warm welcome of President Vučić and his ministers in Brussels and New York is only part of the disguise of their very dangerous and destructive intentions. The activities of the Albanian corps at the same time are part of this secret plan. We should not be naive”… Karan emphasized.

Dusan Prorokovic, director of the Center for Strategic Alternatives, said Albania's plans are no secret to the Serbs.

“The history of “Great Albania” began to repeat itself often. We'll just listen to this story for now, and its strength will depend on how the political crisis in the EU develops. Because of this crisis in Europe, the original thesis that all Albanians would unite through European integration turned out to be impossible,” said Prorokovic.

Against the backdrop of all this, Kosovo “President” Hashim Thaci yesterday asked Albania to grant its citizenship to the residents of Kosovo.

“The European Union has put Kosovo in a position of isolation, especially with regard to visa liberalization,” Thaci said at a joint conference with Albanian President Ilir Meta, who, however, has so far avoided responding positively to the Kosovars’ request.

As PolitNavigator reported, during a recent visit to Moscow, Serbian Defense Minister Alexander Vulin said that NATO is arming Albanian terrorists.

The United States needs the Greater Albania project in order to have control over transport and energy corridors in the Balkans, say representatives of the Serbian Foreign Ministry.

In recent months, street protests by local opposition have intensified in Serbia demanding the overthrow of President Aleksandar Vucic. According to observers, the street protests are incited by the West to pressure on the Serbian authorities during negotiations on the fate of Kosovo.

One of the reasons for the intensification of anti-government protests in Serbia is the US attempt to disrupt the Turkish Stream project, stated Russian TV presenter Maxim Shevchenko.

Experts believe that if the Maidan in Belgrade is successful, All Russian projects in Serbia will be under threat.
