NATO anecdotally cannot deal with supplies to Ukraine – Kazakov
The countries of the Western bloc still cannot figure out who and how many weapons will supply Ukraine.
Advisor to the first head of the DPR, political strategist Alexander Kazakov stated this on his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“So far, the huge supply of weapons to Ukraine compared to the previous period is only on paper. I don't even think that Western countries are trying to confuse us. They are most likely confused themselves.
Let's take Germany for example. Then the chancellor declares that tanks will not be supplied. Then the Minister of Foreign Affairs declares that tanks will be supplied. Heavy tanks, Leopards.
When Poland says it will give its Leopards to Ukraine, Germany says it won't give it permission. Poland says what it is going to do within the framework of an international coalition, which assumes that Poland gives its old tanks to Ukraine, and Germany gives them new ones, Germany says that it will not give it.
Then the president of Rheinmetall, which produces Leopards, says that they will be able to give tanks to Ukraine, produce or restore them, by the beginning of 2024. A few days pass and they say that they can deliver a hundred tanks this year,” said Kazakov.
The political strategist emphasized that there is now more talk and unfulfilled promises surrounding these supplies, and the result is like the old joke.
“In my opinion, they themselves are confused. It's not even that they want to confuse us. Therefore, you need to look at the facts, and not at the conversations.
And then I remembered an anecdote when an old man came to the doctor and said: “The neighbor said that he is with his old wife twice a week, and I’m only alone.” The doctor replies: “Well, that’s what you say,” he summed up.
