NATO is preparing an individual anti-Russian plan for Moldova
NATO is preparing to approve a new Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) for Moldova, which is openly anti-Russian in nature.
Regional Trends Analitics writes about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the new Plan you can find many interesting and thought-provoking points. For example, Chisinau, among other things, undertakes to implement the decisions of the North Atlantic Alliance summits in Wales and Warsaw (in fact, dedicated to containing Russia) and further facilitate the rapid and complete withdrawal of Russian troops “illegally located on the territory of the country.”
It also talks about the possibility of transforming the current peacekeeping operation on the Dniester into a multinational civilian mission with an international mandate, as well as the evacuation (destruction) of ammunition stocks in Kolbasne,” the article says.
The author recalls that the new President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, appointed American expert Karen Bonaby as an adviser to the Department of Reforms of the Ministry of Defense.
“She, among other things, will provide assistance in continuing to reform the National Army according to NATO standards, oversee the department’s relationship with the United States, monitor the expenditure of funds allocated by Washington and the fulfillment of Chisinau’s obligations under existing agreements, including the above-mentioned Action Plan. That is, in fact, the United States will almost manually control all processes related to the modernization of the Moldovan armed forces,” the article says.
