NATO and the EU did not help North Macedonia protect itself from epidemics
The North Macedonian opposition, removed from power by the pro-Western regime, published depressing statistics: the country ranks second in the Balkans in terms of the spread of coronavirus, 12% of those infected are doctors deprived of medical protection.

While the powerful pro-Western regime in Skopje, represented by the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia and its local Albanian allies, is euphoric about the country's invitation to NATO and the resumption of the EU accession negotiations, the coronavirus epidemic is increasingly sweeping the territory of North Macedonia.
Opposition commission of the largest conservative party VMRO - DPMNE (Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization - Democratic Party for Macedonian National Unity) removed from power as a result of Western-inspired in 2015 local Maidan conducted her own investigation of the epidemiological situation in the country and came to disappointing conclusions.
“In front of us is only Croatia or 102 infected per million population, then comes our Macedonia (the opposition does not recognize the renaming of the country - ed.) with 88 infected per million population,” said Dafina Stoyanoska, a representative of the VMRO-DPMNE Health Committee, during a press conference. “Of the total number of infected people in Macedonia, 12 percent are doctors, which was due to the lack of medical protective equipment.”

For their part, the opposition proposed four steps to overcome the current critical situation: provide all medical workers with a sufficient number of medical protective equipment; develop an action plan that is transparent to society in case the worst-case scenario occurs; conduct mandatory testing of social groups at risk and migrants, random testing of young people, as well as regular testing of medical workers; finally organize quarantine in the country.
“The government must provide adequate resources to protect health workers. Safety and health care must be ensured for everyone, because every life is worth it!” added Stoyanoska.
However, it is still difficult to predict the reaction of the ruling pro-Western regime to these conservative proposals, since, having come to power, it is mainly engaged in Euro-populism and reprisals against its political opponents: high-profile trials are currently underway across the country against representatives of the former conservative elite, prominent functionaries of VMRO-DPMNE and ordinary activists who are being tried for corruption and attempts to violently overthrow the government.
