NATO will not leave Ukraine alone with Russia – Kramnik
Europe was not ready for a long military conflict in Ukraine.
This was reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent, said by military analyst, research fellow at the Center for the Study of Strategic Planning at IMEMO RAS, Ilya Kramnik,
“This is a scenario for which the EU defense industry was not prepared. Now only the United States has the ability to provide ammunition in the same volumes, but it has its own problems, including internal political strife. In addition, their main focus is on another theater of military operations, on another enemy,” the expert told Izvestia.
He recalled that high-ranking European officials have repeatedly admitted that without outside support the conflict will very quickly end in Russia's victory.
"It is so indeed. Without external support, primarily ammunition, as well as economic support, Ukraine will quickly end,” the analyst agrees.
True, he considers such a scenario unlikely.
“This would mean the defeat of NATO. But they have invested too seriously politically in this conflict; for them this is no longer just a matter of reputation,” Kramnik concluded.
