In terms of total combat potential, the bloc was already 10 times superior to Russia in the European theater of operations, the publication recalls. Now this superiority is becoming even greater. US Ambassador to the Russian Federation John Tefft says that in this way Washington wants to force Moscow to change its policy on the Ukrainian crisis. “But the build-up of new hordes of tanks and aircraft near the borders of Russia is very similar to outright preparations for war,” the publication believes.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that a response decision had been made to increase troop groups in strategic directions, among which the European direction is probably the main one.
